The Salvation Army is one of Australia’s largest providers of alcohol and other drug services. We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling, and withdrawal management services).

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Support Worker, at our Bridge House location. Reporting to the Bridge House Coordinator, this is a casual position with multiple vacancies.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, level 3.

You will successfully- Identify and use appropriate strategies to deal with challenging or high risk situations.- Identify service gaps and recommendations for service delivery improvements are made to the manager- Ability to understand and respond to the needs of individuals experiencing AOD issues- Undertake appropriate care and support for clients under the influence of AOD to address immediate need- Support clients through withdrawal of AOD and records and evaluates progress- Understand and implement appropriate procedures and strategies to deal with crisis situations

You will have (Requisite Skills & Qualifications)- Minimum of Certificate 4 qualification in Community Services, AOD or Mental Health.- Demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills.- A current WA drivers’ licence- Current First Aid Certificate
