Are you someone who is passionate about identifying and solving strategic problems in the private healthcare sector, and are keen to contribute to the future strategic direction that Medibank pursues with private healthcare providers?

We might just have the role for you, working in the Healthcare Funding and Policy team at Medibank.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with our healthcare focussed teams and other business units across Medibank to develop actionable and clear strategic recommendations that seek to achieve the triple aim of healthcare. You will play a key role in shaping delivery of the best healthcare possible for Medibank members.

You will also look to:

- Build upon and maintain a robust knowledge of the Australian private healthcare sector, including key issues and trends in the sector;
- Identify and assess strategic issues and opportunities for improvement in the way we purchase from and manage our healthcare providers and networks, through the development of a fact base from qualitative and quantitative analyses;
- Develop, adapt and co-design models of care that arise from strategic design and initiative development, reflecting international and national best practice;
- Lead, coordinate and manage working groups and teams (from across Medibank’s business), including external consultants;
- Govern delivery of strategic design and initiative projects using project management principles;
- Develop and maintain project artefacts (project plans/charter, requirements, workflows, journey maps, solution designs, project plans, status reporting etc.)
- Contribute to enterprise wide strategic planning

**Now, who are you?**

Enough about us, let’s talk about youyou are degree qualified with significant experience in healthcare strategy development.

You will also have experience working within Healthcare organisations or related organisations.

You are someone who enjoys structured problem solving using concepts such as problem definition, hypotheses testing, analysis planning and facilitating discussion and focus groups.

As a big picture thinker, you are familiar with common strategy development frameworks and have significant experience in financial, business case and other quantitative and qualitative analyses.

You are confident delivering presentations and are someone who can ‘read the room’ and understand what’s required.

A self starter, you take pride in your exceptional organisational skills and are a whizz with the MS Office Suite of products, and have a strong background in quantitative analysis and model building.

You have exceptional interpersonal skills and are driven and motivated by results.
