***About the role**
Work alongside our Recreation and Open space unit in this 12-month maternity leave cover fixed term opportunity. Be a contributing factor on delivering our Open Space Services to the community including the continued improvement of parks, reserves, asset management, environmental monitoring, and community education/participation.

The Coordinator Recreation projects is responsible for developing strategic direction and policy for the Unit in capital works, asset management, open space design and support systems.
- Day to day duties include but not limited to_:

- Handling the administration of Recreation & Open space contracts
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of financial targets for individual contracts.
- Developing community-based project partnerships between Council and external organisations including the provision of State & Federal Government Grants.
- Assisting with the development of briefs for recreation and leisure planning studies

**About you**
Are you an enthusiastic and multiskilled individual who can confidently coordinate complex projects and develop pro-active and practical management systems?

The following is also required:

- Tertiary qualification in recreation, project management or other relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience.
- Current Victorian drivers licence.
- Preparing CPTED assessments and reports in conjunction with Victoria Police Crime Prevention Officers.
- Experience in policy development and planning for service delivery
