**About the role**
As the Coordinator of Sports Turf and Facilities, you will be at the helm of ensuring top-notch management and maintenance of our sports turf, infrastructure, and facilities. Your role will also involve leading the way for our Sports Ground and Facilities Capital Works Program and being the centre of fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, while also contributing to the strategic direction and policy development within our Parks Department.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Fostering and leading a commitment to personal service excellence in relation to the Turf Management Unit.
- Managing the turf operations and facilities design, capital works projects and asset management services in consultation with other Council units.
- Ensuring that Sports Grounds service is delivered to agreed service standards.
- Responsibility for the management of relevant budgets and expenditure.
- Supporting the Manager Parks Services in the development and delivery of the annual Business Plan which aligns to budget allocation and is reflective of the strategic direction of Glen Eira and the Directorate.

The following is also required:

- Advanced Certificate/Diploma/Degree or High-Level National accreditation in turf management and leadership experience in managing a multi skilled workforce.
- Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Broad knowledge and extensive experience in managing all aspects of the public realm of sports grounds, turf and facilities management and maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience in capital improvement projects and project management, including performance and financial reporting procedures.
- A record of achievement in motivating and developing individuals and teams to deliver high quality and responsive outcomes to the business.
