The Customer Service and Compliance Officer will perform a critical function for the Authority and is tasked with promoting voluntary compliance with the Act and Regulations. Where voluntary compliance cannot be achieved, the Customer Service and Compliance Officer will assist in the preparation of evidence briefs, case files and associated material for enforcement action. The Compliance Team ensure that workers and employers understand and abide by their obligations under legislation.

The Portable Long Service Authority is an independent statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020 provide a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme.
The Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme began on 1 July 2019 to ensure eligible workers in the community services, contract cleaning and security industries can build up long service benefits based on time in their industry, rather than with a single employer.
**About the role**
There are currently two vacancies:
- Customer Service and Compliance Officer - Full Time - Ongoing
- Customer Service and Compliance Officer - Full Time - 12 Months Fixed Term
The Customer Service and Compliance Officer will work as part of a collaborative team promoting voluntary compliance with the Act and Regulations. Providing a high-level administration to the compliance function, including accurate written communication to stakeholders, case management, referral or resolution, in accordance with operational guidelines and legislation. This includes managing high risk and high-profile stakeholders.
Where voluntary compliance cannot be achieved, the Customer Service and Compliance Officer will assist in the preparation of evidence briefs, case files and associated material for enforcement action.
**About you**
As the Customer Service and Compliance Officer, you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience undertaking compliance investigations
- Demonstrated ability to foster productive working relationships with stakeholders, customers and team members
- High level of verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation and service excellence skills, with the ability to deal effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
