About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Education Lead to support the implementation of our Community Bank Compliance and Education Strategy within our Retail Banking Network.

As a key member of our team, you will provide guidance and support for effective compliance for Community Bank Boards, manage Board compliance, and provide Director education and information on policies, processes, and procedures that apply to Community Bank Companies under a franchise arrangement.

This is a hands-on sole contributor role where you will work closely with other teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the Community Bank Compliance and Education Strategy
  • Provide guidance and support for effective compliance for Community Bank Boards
  • Manage Board compliance and provide Director education and information
  • Develop and maintain compliance frameworks and policies
  • Collaborate with other teams to deliver successful outcomes

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of building compliance frameworks
  • Sound understanding of Board governance
  • Solid understanding of the Franchising Code of Conduct
  • Understanding legislative impacts from a government perspective
  • Ability to build Director Education tools and resources
  • Demonstrated compliance experience ideally within a Banking, Finance or Accounting Industry
  • Demonstrated compliance and education facilitation to a broad audience
  • Understanding of Banking, Finance and franchising governance frameworks and associated regulatory bodies
  • Strong negotiation, leadership and influencing skills
  • Ability to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of company structures and local company frameworks
  • Sound knowledge of general banking practices, advantageous
  • Tertiary qualifications in compliance, risk, banking, finance or education strongly desirable or relevant Business experience
