**About the team**:
Coles Express makes people’s lives easier. Whether our customers are filling up with fuel, grabbing a snack-to-go or dropping by for essentials, our team is there when and where Aussies need us.
**About the role**:
We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Category Manager to join the Coles Express Merchandise team. You will be responsible for ranging of new and exciting product categories, whilst also managing a variety of Projects, supporting the category.
You will support the Business Category Manager and will be accountable for assisting them in growing profitable category sales, maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting the customer-centric category strategy.
You'll also:
- have end to end accountability, managing forecasting and range reviews.
- manage the collection, input and maintenance of all category data, including promotional systems, data systems and new lines.
- deliver against the overall category strategy.
- execute the category’s pricing, promotion, range selection and layout development.
- develop strong supplier relationships to effectively partner and execute goals.
**About you and your skills**:
You’ll also need:
- strong organisational skills and ability to plan ahead to support the category’s unique needs
- prior experience with promotional and trade planning
- exceptional stakeholder management with the ability to work closely and influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives
- strong analytical skills demonstrated through proactively sourcing customer insights and data to formulate category recommendations
- experience working within cross functional teams to manage and execute projects
