**About the team**:
Coles Express makes people’s lives easier. Whether our customers are filling up with fuel, grabbing a snack-to-go or dropping by for essentials, our team is there when and where Aussies need us.

We currently have an opportunity for Category Manager - Confectionery & Healthy Snacking to join the Coles Express Merchandise team. You will have full accountability of the P&L of one of our biggest portfolio’s of products across the business and will develop a winning category strategy to implement across our stores.

**About the role**:
You will need the ability to build strong internal and external relationships and be able to optimise your operation to drive improved sales and profit outcomes. This role will require you to work end-to-end; set a high-level strategy and engage with our store network to drive excellent execution of your plan.

Utilising your strategic skills, you will identify growth opportunities within your category and partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver a point of difference for our customer base and increase our share within the market.

You'll also:

- Drive results and performance of your categories.
- Work cross-functionally across Marketing, Operations, Transformation and Strategy.
- Execute our customer-centric strategy for your categories.
- Drive innovation within the category, working closely with the broader Coles Merchandise team.
- Build strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, using your negotiation and influencing skills to drive the direction of the category.

**About you and your skills**:
You will have demonstrated Category Management and/or Merchandise experience within a retail or FMCG environment.

You’ll also have:

- Outstanding influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to operate in a dynamic, customer-driven retail environment.
- Proven ability to champion and drive change through engaging with senior leadership.
- Strong financial acumen within a highly commercial environment.
- Customer first approach
