**About the team**:

**About the role**:
As the Assistant Category Manager for Coles Local, you will assist the Senior Category Manager in growing profitable category sales, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and supporting the customer-centric category strategy.

You will be responsible for leading trade planning, ranging of new and exciting product categories whilst also managing a variety of Projects.

You will manage the end-to-end promotional trade plan and work closely with varied global and domestic suppliers as part of this high-performance team

You'll also:

- Have end to end accountability, managing forecasting and range reviews.
- Manage the collection, in-put, and maintenance of all category data, including promotional systems, data systems and new lines.
- Deliver against the overall category strategy.
- Execute the category’s pricing, promotion, range selection and layout development.
- Develop strong supplier relationships to effectively partner and execute goals.

**About you and your skills**

You’ll also need:

- Skills within procurement/sourcing of products
- Project Management skills and experience
- Knowledge of the merchandising function and processes
- Demonstrated analytical skills through proactively sourcing customer insights and data to formulate category recommendations
