As the Technical Claims Officer, you will support the Claims team in their role, to engage and drive active emergency assistance cases both during and outside business hours, to proactively manage relationships with key stakeholders such as underwriters, cost containers, and investigators.- Be a referral point on complex coverage, liability and high value matters- Reviewing and approving payments and claims decisions- Provide ongoing coaching to develop Claims Officers’ knowledge- Expertise in the identification and management of fraud & recovery matters- Support Claims Leadership team in handling a specific area of complex claims
- This role requires the availability to be on-call at night for our Emergency Assistance team (for 1 week approximately once per month)._

With previous experience in a similar role, you bring strong technical (travel) insurance skills, along with a passion and energy for delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Your ability to multi-task, adapt and deliver results in a fast-paced environment will see you set up for success. You are a motivated self-starter who can work autonomously, with a growth culture mindset and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

You are comfortable leveraging your written and verbal communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels and possess highly developed time management and organisational skills which supports competing priorities.

What we’re looking for:
- Attention to detail and time management skills- Ability to work full time and be part of a rotating on call roster- Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word and Sharepoint- Ability to embrace change and deal with ambiguity- Calm under pressure- Insurance specific qualifications e.g. RG 146 (preferred)
