**About the role**

As the Principal Finance Partner, you will be part of the Finance Partnering Section team and responsible for providing strategic, business focused financial advice, guidance and support across a range of financial matters.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Support the delivery of quality financial services to the organisation
- Provide strategic expert advice on financial policy, procedures, accounting manual, standards and systems requirements
- Lead the delivery of financial reporting to the Department, including the co-ordination of budget preparation and budget build, periodic budget amendments and reporting, and end of period Department forecasting
- Oversee monthly general ledger systems processing to ensure accurate financial information including end of month reconciliations, expenditure accrual processes and journals, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
- Prepare and present on financial performance and business cases to key stakeholders to assist them with evaluating and making business decisions
- Lead the development of business processes to enhance business outcomes, customer service, streamline operations and minimise cost

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting or other relevant discipline or working towards attainment of such qualifications and/or substantial experience to carry out the range of duties required
- Proven working experience as a finance business partner or similar in a leadership capacity
- The ability to build and maintain working relationships with a diverse stakeholder group
- The ability to be agile, resilient and collaborative

**About the benefits**

This is a permanent, full time, Level 8 position with a salary commencing at $121,294 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
