**About the Role**
The Digital Studio Coordinator provides support to create video and audio content for teaching, research, marketing and industry engagement at Melbourne Law School (MLS) and the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE). The role manages the MLS-FBE Digital Studio, a joint resource, and is primarily responsible for providing technical support for the development of video and audio content. Video and podcast production focuses on supporting teaching activity, but also includes marketing endeavours, the promotion of research activity and public engagement.

The studio space includes a fully equipped 4K soundstage (with a single camera area and three-camera studio set-up) and an adjacent podcasting space/edit suite. The role enables the successful end-to-end production of digital content through the appropriate support, training and oversight of the studio equipment and operations. This includes post-production editing.

The role of Digital Studio Coordinator is based at the Law Building and reports to the Curriculum Development and Planning Manager in the Law School’s Academic Support Office.

Responsibilities include:

- Coordinating the day to day operations of the studio, including bookings and workflow, setting up equipment (cameras, lighting, mics), operating equipment during productions, managing the storage of digital assets and maintaining equipment.
- In conjunction with video content producers, academics and other key stakeholders, developing video and audio content for teaching, research, marketing and engagement purposes. This includes filming and editing.
- Ensuring studio utilisation is balanced between Melbourne Law School and the Faculty of Business and Economics
- Developing and updating the processes and procedures to meet studio best practice, accompanied by appropriate materials and instructions.

You will also have:

- A relevant degree or proven and established video and audio production and editing experience in a studio environment.
- High level technical skills in video production and editing, using software such as Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- High level technical skills in audio production, with strong knowledge of podcasting best practice.
- High level skills in technical writing, producing help guides, provision of training and supporting materials.
- Strong understanding of studio protocols around workflows, lighting, audio, as well as maintaining equipment.
- To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check._
