**About the Role**
The Principal Adviser Intelligence and Analysis is responsible for the delivery and coordination of an intelligence and analysis framework that delivers data analytics and intelligence advice to inform tactical, operational and strategic evidence-based regulatory decision-making. The Principal Adviser Intelligence and Analysis will direct and coordinate a small group of staff who undertake a range of functions that deliver on the intelligence and analysis framework.

The EPA is South Australia’s independent environment protection regulator. The organisation works to protect, restore and improve the environment through the risk-based regulation of pollution, waste, noise and radiation. The EPA works closely with industry, the community and government to protect the unique natural environment while supporting economic growth and improving wellbeing. The EPA is responsible for the administration of the _Environment Protection Act 1993_ (EP Act) and the _Radiation Protection and Control Act 2021_ (RPC Act) and also exercises responsibilities under other South Australian planning and environmental legislation.

**Desirable Qualifications, Knowledge or Experience**
- Sound knowledge of state and national environmental legislation, public sector organisation and operations, particularly as they relate to environmental issues and management.
- Bachelor of Business Analytics, Intelligence Analysis, Mathematical Sciences, Engineering or Environmental Science or related discipline.
- Post-graduate education in Intelligence Analysis, Engineering, Environmental, Science or related discipline.

**Remuneration**
ASO7 ($108,109 - $116,864 per annum) + 11.5% super to your choice of superfund.

**Contract**
Long term contract (until 30 June 2026) and full time (37.5 hours per week).

**Special Conditions**
- This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. A current National Police Clearance is essential.
- The incumbent will occasionally be required to travel to sites in country areas and interstate.
- The incumbent may be required to work out of hours and as the need arises.
