The Powering Skills Organisation (PSO) holds a prominent position among the National Jobs and Skills Councils (JSC) dedicated to the Energy Sector in Australia. **About the opportunity**:
As the Manager - Technical Training & Skills Standards at PSO, you play a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of the energy sector's workforce. Your leadership will drive the meticulous design, delivery, and ongoing review of high-quality VET training products that meet industry standards and comply with relevant regulatory requirements. Your work is marked by the successful delivery of new agreed-upon products, enhancing the skills and capabilities of the energy workforce.

This role will offer virtual/work from home arrangements with travel throughout Australia required at times.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Initiate the design and delivery of high-quality VET training products, ensuring they meet industry standards and comply with relevant regulatory requirements;
- Promote collaboration and resource sharing through strong relationships with educational institutions, industry bodies and government agencies;
- Gain insights into training program development and future skills needs through collaboration with industry and the VET sector;
- Analyse labour market data and industry intelligence to inform initiatives and career pathway mapping for VET learners.

**Selection Criteria**:
This role would suit someone with a strong background in the VET sector and/or RTO’s and offers the opportunity to put your expertise into driving critical industry outcomes. Key criteria required to be successful in this role include:

- A qualification in education or training, or 5+ years’ experience developing training packages;
- Previous experience in the development of training programs, packages and materials is essential;
- Understanding of the UEE, UEG, UEP and/or UET training packages is a must;
- Demonstrated experience streamlining and rationalising approaches to education;
- Knowledge of ASQA and electrical regulations and standards;
- Excellent communication skills to present to audiences, influence and negotiate.
