**About the Role**

Are you passionate about event safety and risk management? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? Join our team at Sydney Showground as an Incident Coordinator, where you'll be a vital part of ensuring the safety and success of Australia's largest annual ticketed event. Reporting to the Manager of Safety Risk and Compliance, you'll play a pivotal role in creating a secure event environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Attend to and investigate incidents, documenting findings and entering comprehensive reports into the designated reporting system.
- Identify and Assess WHS Hazards: Identify and assess Work Health and Safety (WHS) hazards and risks associated with the event.
- Compliance Audits and Inspections: Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments to maintain a safe event environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records of activities, incidents, and compliance efforts for reporting and analysis.
- Safety Enhancements: Implement corrective actions to enhance safety, ensuring the success of the event.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
**Essential**:

- WHS or Incident Investigation Training.
- First Aid certificate (HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid, or equivalent),
- Previous experience with large-scale events.
- Knowledge and experience in venue operations.
- Familiarity with WHS Act (NSW) 2011 & WHS Regulation (NSW) 2017 and relevant Codes of Practice.
- A commitment to service excellence and meticulous attention to detail.
- An understanding of diverse client needs and the ability to cater to them.
- Diplomacy, integrity, and a positive "can-do" attitude.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and accommodate flexible work hours and dynamic roster changes as needed.

**Desirable**:

- General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- National High Risk Work Licence.
- Higher School Certificate or equivalent.

We manage the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry and the Sydney Showground. The RAS has a team of over 130 full-time staff and an indispensable pool of casual staff who work on the Easter Show, and other Sydney Showground events.
