Drive the execution, integration, and oversight of Zip's enterprise risk frameworks.

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will oversee the application of Zip's Issue and Incident Management policy and procedures throughout the ANZ region. Your role will involve managing and supervising issues and incidents across various Zip business units. You will be tasked with generating monthly incident reports, conducting periodic follow-ups on incidents, and assisting diverse teams and management in navigating the Incident Management process.

Key challenges you will tackle:

  • Facilitate the review and enhancement of the Issue and Incident Management policy to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Issue and Incident Management policy and procedures, serving as a subject matter expert.
  • Oversee and track the issue and incident portfolio to ensure adherence to enterprise standards.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify solutions for issue and incident control weaknesses, ensuring that root causes are identified and addressed. Escalate critical decisions, obstacles, or delivery challenges to management.
  • Work closely with partners within the business to gather and document monthly updates on issues and incidents.
  • Define, develop, and produce monthly reports that offer a consolidated and detailed overview of incident resolution tracking by business unit and the ANZ region.
  • Contribute to the Operational Risk Committee and Board reporting concerning issue and incident management.
  • Analyze the nature and types of incidents to identify any systemic issues or root causes that may require attention.
  • Design and implement training and communication strategies for issue and incident management to enhance organizational awareness and understanding.

What you will bring to the role:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Compliance and/or Risk management within the Australian and/or New Zealand financial services or fintech sector.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and foster positive working relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and reporting mechanisms.
  • A proactive approach to action.
