**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Branch is led by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who reports to the Chief Executive Officer of Canberra health Services. The CFO Branch is responsible for the development and maintenance of budgets, financial management, and for providing strong operational finance and performance reporting analysis across the health service. The main sub-units within the CFO branch include the Financial Management Unit, Revenue and Financial Services, Patients Accounts, and Health Information Services.

Health Information Services (HIS) provides a range of services including clinical record scanning and management, clinical coding and casemix data generation, patient identifier maintenance, clinical record forms design and managing access to and release of personal health information to facilitate patient care and follow-up, for research, quality improvement, education, and hospital management purposes.

The Administration Manager is responsible to the Operations Manager. This role will be responsible for leading a team consisting of approximately 30 administration officers across health record management activities including scanning, deficiency analysis and chart correction. The Administration Manager will provide day to day supervision of staff, human resources support including recruitment as well as the ability to extract and report on data relating to scanning and deficiency tracking.

**DUTIES**:
Under limited direction of the Operations Manager, you will perform people management tasks. You will:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the health record team ensuring that services meet the patient/organisation needs such as undertaking staff administrative matters including recruitment, rostering, human resource management, performance management and financial management practices.
- Collaborate with Digital Solutions Division to ensure the DHR and the clinical record scanning solution is maintained, and supported in regard to system performance, issue resolution and system upgrades with mínimal disruption to service delivery.
- Maintain effective networks and relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the agency at meetings, conferences, seminars and relevant forums as required.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.

**Position Requirements / Qualifications**
- A minimum 2 years’ experience working as a supervisor or manager leading teams, preferably in healthcare setting.
- CHS is leading the drive to digitally transform health service delivery in Australia through the implementation of a territory wide Digital Health Record. Computer literacy skills are required which are relevant to this role as you will be responsible for completing required documentation and becoming a proficient user of the Digital Health Record and/or other Information Technology systems; once proficient, you will need to remain current with changes, updates and contingencies.
- Have an understanding of how the National Standards and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) indicators align with this role.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role as detailed in the CHS Exceptional Care Framework, Clinical Governance Framework, Partnering With Consumers Framework and all other related frameworks.
- Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
- Obtain a Compliance Certificate from OMU (Occupational Medicine Unit) relating to assessment, screening, and vaccination processes against specified infectious diseases.
