An exciting opportunity is available to for a Strategic Foresight Advisor within the Innovation and Research team at the Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA).
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Innovation and Research Team is responsible for examining complex challenges, as well as proactively identifying emerging issues impacting strategic and operational environments for policing. The team regularly applies various research methodologies, emerging issues analysis, scenario planning and impact analysis with an aim to reduce uncertainty and identify areas of strategic policy reform that will support policing across Australia and New Zealand.
The Strategic Foresight Advisor is responsible for supporting the Assistant Director in the successful achievement of the ANZPAA Strategy and Business Plan and works across a range of work items in support of the ANZPAA Board (Board) and Australia New Zealand Council for Police Professionalisation (ANZCoPP/the Council). The position is responsible for the development and delivery of ANZPAA's strategic foresight and futures work program, including the delivery of the ANZPAA e-Scan.
The role requires strategic thinking skills to assist police leaders across Australia and New Zealand to identify emerging opportunities and risks. The role will also assist in building relationships with domestic and international partners and identifying and implementing program improvements.
The Strategic Foresight Advisor will have strong communication, problem solving and critical thinking capability. They will also have a proven ability in facilitation and presentation skills. They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can build trusting relationships with stakeholders and team members alike. Successful applicants will demonstrate:

The position is full-time fixed term until 30 June 2024, with opportunity for extension beyond this date.
