Reporting to the Director Strategic Communications, the Strategic Communications Advisor role is responsible for writing key corporate documents (including the annual report), communication strategies and providing communications expertise to the tribunal.This role is ideal for someone with a background in writing and editing, who has experience in creating content for a wide variety of audiences.

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service which resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and are transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.
This role sits in the VCAT communications team, who are responsible for managing VCAT's website, social media, internal communications and media profile.
About the role

**This role is responsible for**:

- Leading the planning, development, writing and editing of VCAT's Annual Report
- Initiating and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and seeking opportunities to develop content for our annual report, planning and other corporate documents
- Proactively identifying positive story opportunities, identifying risks and issues that may be contentious and provide authoritative and expert advice on how to manage them.

About you
- Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality written material, including communication strategies, annual reports, corporate documents and materials with high-level attention to detail in a complex, sensitive and dynamic environment
- Expertise in writing, editing and developing content for multiple platforms, formats and audiences
- Experience in government or judicial system would be advantageous.
