Our Finance team at the Department of Planning & Environment is currently recruiting for a **Finance Officer** to join their team. This role supports the day-to-day finance operations of the Department including preparation and submission of agency data to NSW Treasury. The role will also provide in-depth analysis of cluster financials and deliver data integrity through the completion of high-quality reconciliations.

Responsibilities will also include:

- Supporting the preparation and timely submission of monthly financials to NSW Treasury for actuals and forecast for the network and required entities. Management and collation of the projections for the network. Preparation, review and submission of Budget Adjustment journals.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support continuous improvement of key processes managed by the team. Maintain a sound and effective relationship with NSW Treasury. Responding to NSW Treasury queries including liasing with business for required support.

**About You**

A strong working knowledge of financial management process and framework is preferable within NSW Government. Treasury and PRIME systems would be benefit though isn’t essential. Well developed Excel skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your workload will see you successful in this role. A strong understand of financial information and analytical skills are a key skill for this role.

Tertiary qualifications in finance and accounting would be preferred though are not essential.
