On behalf of our client, a World Leading Energy Group, Brunel is presently sourcing a highly skilled Employee Relations Specialist for a 12-month contract located at their Corporate Perth office.

**About this role**
The Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for delivering the Company’s Grievance Management Process, working closing with the Business HR Operations Team, Legal and Leadership. This role will provide Employee Relations advice to identify and mitigate risks and contribute to positive employee experience whilst ensuring compliance to Company Policy, as well as the relevant legislative frameworks.
- Grievance management: conducts frontline information gathering interviews, investigations, mediation and coaching where required
- Advises HRBPs & Supervisors on grievance management - maintaining secure records
- Advising on point of escalation and activation for ER external service provider and managing briefing/debriefing of grievance matters in their engagements within the organisation
- Recruits, develops and coaches network of Contact Officers and ensures number of officers are appropriate to current business needs
- Provides employee relations advice to HR colleagues and business leaders across a wide range of employee relations topics/issues
- Builds awareness and knowledge and manages country specific training across the business in relation to discrimination, harassment, bullying and EEO (including legislation, responsibilities for Supervisors and Company expectations for all employees)
- Engages with Legal to reduce exposure to workforce related risks and determine risk mitigation strategies
- Undertakes special projects as required

**About you**
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential employee matters with demonstrated combination of assertiveness, poise, sensitivity and tact to build trust and psychological safety
- Sound judgement to manage complex, sensitive situations to deliver the right outcome
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, including writing formal investigation reports
- Familiarity with grievance investigation processes and demonstrated ability to successfully facilitate resolution of complex interpersonal conflict; is not intimidated in difficult situations; credibly provides counsel using data and relevant facts; viewed as neutral and unbiased
- Knowledge of Australian discrimination, harassment and bullying (EEO) Principles and related legislationStrong influencing and problem solving skills with the ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders across all organisational levels, both internally & externally
- Ability to operate autonomously with project management capability
- Experience in facilitation of training programs beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to foster a safety culture and commitment to protecting people and the environmentDemonstrated commitment to Company values of Diversity & Inclusion, high performance, integrity and trust, partnership and protecting people and the environment
