**The company**
Due to consistent growth, this well-known and trusted national distributor of wiring accessories, home automation and LV switchgear is seeking a Technical Sales Representative, to manage existing relationships whilst developing new business.

**The position**
Calling on electrical wholesalers and contractors, the aim of this role is to become the preferred supplier, improve profitable market penetration of all segments within your territory and meet designated sales targets.

To achieve this, you will need to have existing relationships in these markets, along with strong sales skills and habits - planned with call cycles, a good awareness of upcoming projects in the region, ability to work autonomously, great communication skills and a desire to provide exceptional service.

**Duties include**:

- Maintaining regular service to customers within the designated territory.
- Ensuring effective customer relations and a positive company image is always maintained.
- Responsible for stock control within the Wholesale branches.
- Effectively using CRM to manage calls and call cycles.
- Preparing monthly sales forecasts and annual sales budgets in conjunction with the State Manager.
- Working with the Merchandiser on upcoming promotions in the area.

**Your key skills and competencies will include;**
- An electrical trade or engineering qualification is preferred, but not essential.
- Significant industry experience and current relationships with electrical wholesalers and/or contractors.
- A proven track record of achieving sales budgets and targets.
- Experience using CRM’s such as Sales Force.
- A structured and planned approach to sales.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
