**Key responsibilities include**: - Manage strategic procurement functions to ensure best practice, including provision of expert advice on specifications, evaluating offers, contract management and/or administration, supply market analysis and other general procurement activities. Lead by example in delivering highly complex and/or sensitive procurement services for the department, in line with whole of government procurement strategy and governance frameworks. Develop and support procurement services strategy, governance frameworks and plans in line with strategic outcomes defined by the department and/or government. Manage contracts through post-award lifecycle as the single point of contact for suppliers on all contract matters. Establish and maintain operational practices for monitoring, reporting, and strategy identification of contract performance and compliance at agency-wide, category and whole-of-Government perspectives. Liaise with customers to understand their 'local/operational' requirements and recommend convincing solutions that support whole of Government and agency aligned goals. Assist in building the procurement capability of staff by developing the knowledge and skills of team members and key stakeholders.Applications to remain current for 12 monthsThis work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
