Lime Recruitment is currently working with a Queensland government department to recruit a Principal Procurement Officer contract for 12 months based in the Brisbane CBD and working from home.

**In this role you will**:

- Lead and mentor a category-based team of procurement professionals, ensuring an efficient and effective environment that facilitates quality services and delivers value for money outcomes.
- Coordinate and manage significant procurement projects in cooperation with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity and transparency requirements are addressed.
- Administer complex contracts in collaboration with Contract Managers in accordance with the principles of the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework.
- Provide specialist procurement/contract and commercial advice relating to procurement matters.
- Prepare reports, for internal and external stakeholders, collaboratively develop, implement, and maintain systems and processes to enable enhanced forecasting and management of workload for the team, including appropriate resource allocation
- Maintain up to date knowledge of contract management practices and contemporary acquisition practices, including their relationship with relevant government policies and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships and feedback mechanisms with internal and external clients, vendors, and staff to represent procurement services and ensure responsiveness to current and future needs.
