In contributing to the overarching vision and purpose, the role of Strategy Lead Water Conservation is responsible for planning, development and implementation of water conservation programs to increase the resilience and security of the Central Coast’s water supply system. These activities are guided by the Council’s long term water security plans and strategies. This includes providing ongoing technical and management advice on various issues relating to water demand forecasting and water demand management programs. The role should also consider the efficient level of water conservation investments to be undertaken.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
**Key activities of this role include**:
- Develop water efficiency programs including developing and implementing appropriate governance and risk frameworks, performance measures, reporting standards, assessment tools and systems to track, monitor and report on identified milestones and deliverables to ensure effective governance of the programs from inception to completion;
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with large water users to enable effective Water Efficiency Management Plans (WEMP) to be prepared and implemented;
- Prepare written briefings, reports, submissions, and correspondence to a range of audiences (internal and external), as well as council papers and correspondence, on a range of program initiatives.
**_About You:_**
- An essential requirement for this role is a Degree qualification in Economics, Science, Civil / Environmental Engineering or related field, combined with ongoing professional development. As well as a Class C Driver's Licence
- Comfortable with Providing guidance, coaching and engage staff in change process and recognise cultural barriers that undermine change;
- Able to take account of financial implications and return on investment when planning financial transactions.

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $92k to $110k per annum dependent on skills and experience + 10.5% superannuation.
A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role,** **with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
