**Role**:
The VET/Pathways Administration/VASS Support Officer will work under the direction of the Pathways Leader. They will work with a focus on establishing and managing an effective student pathways case management and counselling program from Years 10- 12 engaged in VET and vocational pathways.

The VET/Pathways Administration/VASS Support Officer will:
Assist with the development of connections within the community to support student work placements, in relation to their areas of responsibility.

Assist the Pathways leader and Year 9 LCL to oversee the delivery of the Morrisby Project for Year 9 students.

Attend VET Cluster meetings

Meet regularly with the Pathways Team, Head Start Coordinators and GTO provider supporting vocational pathways for WHC students

**Responsibilities**:
The responsibilities of this position will be:
Assisting the Pathways Leader in leading the continual development and implementation of a student Careers and Pathways programs.

Providing information and advice to students, parents and staff in matters related to Careers and Pathways.

Liaising with employers for the purpose of expanding Work Experience opportunities for students, maintaining an accurate database of work placements and managing administrative requirements of Work Experience placements.

Regularly updating and maintaining confidential and detailed records on COMPASS so as to identify and support students who are at risk of disengagement and leaving school early.

In conjunction Pathways Leader, managing and providing pathways information and promotional material through means such as the Colleges website, COMPASS news items, newsletter, Career and Pathways Resource Centre and the Library.

Assist the Pathways Leader maintaining all student documentation connected with VTAC, Australian School-Based Apprenticeships (ASBA), and Work Experience/Placement, including electronic records of student interviews and case notes.

Assisting the Pathways Leader, managing and supporting the implementation of individual student action plans by utilising interviews for all identified students.

Attending regular meetings such as Sub-School and Student Wellbeing meetings and others as appropriate.

Providing students with an understanding and experience in training and employment opportunities.

Guiding students to make a smooth transition from compulsory schooling to further education, training and employment.

Acting as an advocate for early school leavers for the purpose of securing appropriate places in further education, employment and training.

Being an active member of the College¿s Pathways team and liaising, where necessary, with members of the Student Wellbeing team, Sub-School leaders and Assistant Principals.

Providing regular feedback to relevant staff on the progress of individual students.

Complete and maintain the VASS system data
