**The Role**

Ramsay Hospital Research Foundation (RHRF) is seeking a permanent full time Research Operations Manager.

Reporting to the CEO, the successful applicant will be responsible for the ongoing development of key programs of work that include a focus on translation of research into healthcare and ensuring that our grants program meets the needs of the patient and consumer.

This role is a critical part of the foundation and will be actively working with the CEO to lead the development and implementation of the broader research strategy and funding program.

Key responsibilities include:

- Oversee the strategic development of RHRF Grants Program and develop an increased focus on stakeholder management
- Assist with the development of the approach to Implementation Science and Social Determinants of Health
- Oversee a robust grants administration framework and day to day research administration activities
- Assist with the development and implementation of RHRF research strategy in conjunction with the CEO

**Your Key Skills and Experience**
- Research, allied health or medical qualifications
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the research sector, with a particular focus on health and medical research
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal including ability to prepare reports for senior executives
- Solid leadership and emotional intelligence with proven ability to engage others.
- Proven ability to manage large stakeholder groups and to work from a position of influence to ensure outcomes
- Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously within a small team

**About Ramsay Hospital Research Foundation**

In 2015, Ramsay Health Care established and registered Ramsay Hospital Research Foundation (RHRF), a registered not for profit organisation. Operations of RHRF commenced in 2017, upon receipt of a core grant from the Paul Ramsay Foundation. This grant has led to the establishment of key research projects and a robust set of research programs over the past four years with a focus on mental health, health services and rehabilitation research.

The core value proposition of RHRF is to fund research that will lead to actionable improvement of patient outcomes, preferencing Australian-based Ramsay hospitals/pharmacies. As RHRF evolves the foundation continues to develop key priorities in research. Currently, the key priority are cancer, mental health, cardiology and orthopaedics with a particular focus on the establishment of research that addresses key social determinants of health.

**Requirements**:
As a part of Ramsay Health Care’s ongoing response to the pandemic and commitment to the health and wellbeing of the community, successful applicants are required to provide evidence of Covid-19 vaccinations prior to commencement. You may also be required to provide a current National Police check.
