**The role**:

- Managing all roster queries, urgent shift change requests and filling vacant shifts.
- Liaising with managers about resourcing issues as they arise
- Monitoring hours to ensure that employees are working within Award and legal obligations.
- Coordinate and schedule daily staffing allocations to ensure all shifts are filled
- Oversee the master roster and process shift variations, permanent shift changes and generate/publish new rosters fortnightly
- Assist with the scheduling, coordination, and rostering of mandatory staff training
- Contribute to the preparation and implementation of rostering procedures
- Present regular reports on overtime, double shifts and shift variations
- Provide high level administrative support on a variety of other staffing and rostering related tasks as required
- Maintain and update the casual employee roster
- Experience with developing rapport with all stakeholders
- Good communication skills, written and oral
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills

- Previous scheduling/rostering experience
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients
- Excellent time management skills with an ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to handle sensitive client matters discretely, display empathy and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work over a 7 day roster
- Ability to participate in on-call roster
- Knowledge of person-centred thinking practice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service experience
- Highly developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Capacity to exercise sound judgement in a high intensity environment
- Experience with inbound and outbound phone calls
- Well-developed computer literacy, including proficiency in use of CRM systems, rostering systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to operate in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Understanding of rostering systems
- Flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment and a willingness to learn.
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, whilst remaining a motivated team player.
- Bring creativity to rostering solutions
- Facilitate the timely submission/verification of staff timesheets consistent with approved rosters
- Providing on-call support as rostered
- Experience in the use of computers and relevant software (i.e., MS Word, MS Teams, Excel, Outlook, scheduling system)
- Meet rostering deadlines as required by payroll.
- Ensure all documentation is entered into the electronic system in a timely manner.
- High degree of drive and initiative.
