**ABOUT OUR CLIENT & THE ROLE**
Our client is a not for profit specializing in drug and alcohol rehabilitation who require a Manger of Financial Operations for a 4 month contract. As Manger of Financial Operations, you'll be responsible for overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. This role requires autonomy and involves providing financial support and analysis to the Executive team, managers, and reporting to the Board.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Generate monthly financial statements.
- Prepare annual financial accounts.
- Develop annual operating and capital budgets.
- Manage the contracts register.
- Ensure general ledger integrity.
- Oversee the fortnightly payroll process.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Handle banking, investments, and cash management.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with Australian accounting standards and ACNC reporting.
- Execute timely external reporting, payments, and participation in external audits.
- Lead the consolidated budget process.
- Review creditor payments for compliance.
- Provide support and coaching to direct reports.
- Manage client fees and expenditure payment processes.
- Promote continuous quality improvement.
- Monitor compliance with legislative and industry code requirements.
- Implement risk management strategies.
- Administer credit and debit cards.
- Manage salary packaging administration.
- Produce high-quality reports for Executive and Board presentation.
- Conduct cash forecasting and revenue reporting.
- Ensure adherence to Windana finance policies.
**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting and/or finance.
- Full membership of either CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.
- 5+ years of experience in finance and payroll.
- Sound business case development skills.
- Understanding of the procurement process, including negotiation with third parties.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Possess a valid Working with Children Check for this position.
- Successfully undergo a national police check.
- Excellent time management and financial management skills.
- Proficient in communication and report preparation.
- Ability to produce financial reports in compliance with Accounting Standards.
- Capability to manage internal and external resources as required.
- Self-motivated and flexible with effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience in working in the AOD or Community Health Services sector highly regarded.
