The Melbourne office is based in the CBD but you'll have flexibility to work from home 2 days a week in this 12-14 month Maternity Leave contract.

**The Role**

As part of a robust People and Talent team of 10, you'll report to the Manager of People Operations providing administrative and project support throughout the employee lifecycle. You'll be the first point of contact for HR queries on processes, policies and payroll etc and will be responsible for maintaining accurate local HR records and surfacing insights from workforce data analytics, ensuring the employee experience is the best it can be.

**Responsibilities**
- Support employees through all stages from onboarding and orientation to off boarding etc
- First level of support and advice to employees around company processes and policies, and general HR queries
- First level of support for payroll queries and Award interpretation
- Assist with the production of new policies and procedures relative to current legislation
- Prepare payroll reports including new hires, salary increases and terminations
- Support regular data and analytics projects including performance review outcomes, attrition analysis, annual WGEA reporting etc.
- Assess HR systems and processes to ensure the efficient running of the department
- Ad hoc project support including employee engagement events and initiatives to support the Belonging & Connectedness program

**About You**

With proven experience in an HR Operations or HR Coordinator role, you'll ideally be HR degree qualified or similar. A strong communicator, you'll be an exceptionally organised, confident, people person with strong administrative and follow up skills. This is a tech savvy environment, so proficiency in Google workplace apps or MS Office will be essential, along with knowledge of Bamboo HRIS or similar.
