**About QIMR Berghofer**:
QIMR Berghofer is a world-leading translational medical research institute focused on improving health by developing new diagnostics, better treatments and prevention strategies, specifically in the areas of Cancer, Infection and Inflammation, Mental Health and Neuroscience, and Population Health. Based in Herston, Brisbane and working in close collaboration with clinicians and other research institutes, QIMR Berghofer is home to more than 600 scientists, students and non-research staff.

**About the Cancer Genetic Susceptibility Laboratory**:
The Cancer Genetic Susceptibility laboratory primarily studies the role of genetics in endometrial cancer risk and development. Our team leads large-scale genetic studies for endometrial cancer and uses these data to answer a variety of research questions falling under three main themes: prevention, prediction and treatment.

**Role Purpose / Responsibilities**:
Applications are invited for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team to perform functional genomic analyses using endometrial organoid models.

The following duties will apply:

- Culture and maintain endometrial organoids
- Conduct functional genomic experiments (e.g. HiCuT, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, CUT&Tag) using organoids
- Perform CRISPR dropout screens using organoids
- Dissemination of research findings (e.g. meetings and conferences)
- Publish research articles in peer-reviewed journals

**About you**:

- A Ph.D. degree in a related field (e.g. cell/molecular biology, genetics, genomics, etc.)
- Strong expertise in organoid culture and maintenance is essential
- Expertise with CRISPR screens is highly desirable
- Experience with functional genomic approaches
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative research environment
- A strong track record in preparing publications and other written materials

**Remuneration**:Salary range $88,849 -$95,329 p.a. plus super and salary packaging. This is a full-time appointment for 2 years.
