**About the Role**

Due continued growth we are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Trade Assistant with a strong mechanical aptitude to join our client’s workshop team. Reporting to the Workshop Manager this role will focus on providing support and assistance to all workshop and warehouse teams, carrying out a range of tasks including welding, sandblasting, machine operations, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in other workshop operations, including the warehouse, machine shop, and QA section.
- Semi-automated welding of small, machined components to the company quality standards.
- Parts assembly and assisting trade-qualified staff as required.
- Undertake sandblasting and cleaning of all parts as required.
- Record and notify any repairs and/or new equipment and tools required by the relevant department manager.
- Notify the Operations and/or Department Manager of any parts, consumables, or PPE required to undertake the jobs at hand.
- Complete and maintain all paperwork as required for all incoming and outgoing processes.
- Clean and complete routine maintenance of tools, equipment, and the work area, including emptying scrap bins.
- Ensure all workshop areas in the manufacturing workshops are kept organised, clean, and safe.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Demonstrated experience in a similar role is essential
- Valid Australian ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence is essential
- Strong time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise
- Valid Australian HRW Licence - Forklift is desirable
- First Aid and CPR Certification is desirable
