**Marketing & Communications Coordinator**
Spinal Life Australia is a leading provider of services for people with spinal cord damage and other physical disabilities across Queensland and Western Australia.

**About the role**
As Marketing and Communications Coordinator, you will help us share more about our specialist services and advocacy efforts with customers and employees, by developing and executing effective communications and engagement activities.
You will also support the delivery of small-scale events, including our participation in conferences and Expos, and ensure our digital presence is up-to-date and on-brand.
This is the perfect role for someone who wants to use their exceptional copywriting and organisation skills to make a real difference, by sharing more about our specialist services with customers who need support - and promoting advocacy efforts that create genuine change in the community.
**Purpose of the role**
- Developing and implementing effective communications campaigns
- Managing a range of small-scale events including monthly peer support meetings, community open days and Spinal Life’s participation in Expos and conferences
- Providing valued administration and logístical support to the team
**Marketing and Communications**:
- Preparing and executing communications campaigns to promote Spinal Life’s specialist services and advocacy efforts
- Assisting the Marketing Leader with marketing campaigns, including sharing across internal and external channels
**Events**:
- Managing a range of events and small-scale activities including:
- Peer Support Catch-ups in the community, working closely with volunteers who run these meetings to prepare and send monthly invitations
- Open Days at our Spinal Life Healthy Living Centres in Cairns and Brisbane
- Spinal Life’s participation in Expos and conferences
- Booking venues and suppliers when required, writing and sending event invitations, and managing RSVPs
- Promoting events ahead of time and on the day, across all channels, particularly our website and social media
- Coordinating event collateral and materials with our in-house designer and production team
- Preparing event tools such as run sheets, itineraries and staff briefs, as well as post-event evaluations
**Marketing Administration**:
- Submitting invoices for approval, allocated to budget areas
- Helping to manage stock levels of marketing collateral, stationery and merchandise, and reorder when required
- Providing sales and promotional support for The Advocate magazine

- Marketing and/or Communications qualifications and two year’s demonstrated experience in a related role
- High quality presentation, written and verbal communications skills - building rapport with internal and external stakeholders is key
- The ability to meet deadlines and manage competing tasks, while remaining flexible in a busy and diverse environment
- Excellent project management, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Friendly and confident, with a willingness to learn
- An understanding of budgeting and planning
