**People & Culture Manager at Hyatt Centric Melbourne**

This is a 12-month maternity leave cover contract, working 4-5 days per week, commencing June 2024.

Based on site in Melbourne CBD, the People & Culture Manager is a critical position that will act as a business partner by providing professional HR guidance to all team members of the hotel.

As a strategic leader, you will work closely with the executive team to align people initiatives with business objectives, creating an environment where our team can thrive and contribute to Hyatt’s purpose; we care for people so they can be their best.

Responsible for a team of two, you will be reporting directly to the General Manager, whilst being responsible for developing and implementing strategies that promote a positive workplace culture, enhance employee engagement, and drive organizational success by:

- Provide business partnering across the employee life cycle as well as ongoing coaching, training and support to senior leaders
- Provide effective P&C support for strategic projects
- Ability to influence and partner with business leaders at all levels of the organisation
- Ensure the hotel is up to date with any relevant employee relations amendments and emerging matters including, but not limited to case law, legislation and award changes
- Experience in successful dispute resolution, performance management, grievance handling and mediation.
- Driving the talent cycle; identifying talent, facilitating talent review discussions, identifying key roles and potential successors.
- Support the continued development of people management

**Qualifications**:
**Your Background**:
To be successful in this role you will require the following attributes:

- This is a great role for a first time manager with 3-5 years’ experience in a HR business partnering role or similar
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends.
- Health Safety and Wellbeing experience including workers compensation management
- Familiarity with the Hospitality Industry General Award is advantageous
- A qualification in Human Resources and/or Business (degree level preferred)
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused and customer centric approach to HR, with strong communication, influencing and analytical skills
