**About Our Client**:
Our client is an independent registered charity that convenes leading minds, synthesising robust evidence, and communicating research-based interdisciplinary policy advice to governments, parliaments and the public.

**Critical skills**
- Experience with accounting software, and ideally MYOB.
- Event planning and management
- Previous experience in working within a small team.
- Stakeholder engagement and management.
- Strong English written and verbal skills, including persuasive writing.
- Proven ability to work on multiple tasks and with excellent attention to detail is essential.

**Desired skills**
- Experience with social media for commercial purposes.
- Creative writing and/or science/research writing experience.
- Familiarity with the not-for-profit sector.

**Roles**
- Support various seminars and events, including assisting with speaker logistics, event communications and on-the-day support, such as registration desk.
- Support the organisation's financial management, including the financial reporting for management, Committees and the Board, in collaboration with our finance team.
- Support procurement procedures, including liaising with suppliers.
- Electronic document management, including to the auditor (no paper).
- Basic website (our site is WordPress) and social media management (Twitter and LinkedIn).
- Support staff travel and expert's travel bookings.
- Prepare and lodge workcover, insurances, etc.
- Supporting the CEO as requested.

**The Successful Applicant**:
