**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**

Our DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) & Participation team are seeking a Part-Time **Community Engagement Specialist** (approx. 24 hours per week), based in our Perth office with some flexibility to also work from home (WFH).

This role’s primary focus will be to our involvement in community and customer commitments, be the lead in social impact and performance obligations embedding in relationships across our IT sector, customer sites and beyond.

Involved through interactions across Kinetic IT, liaising with stakeholders, partners and community organisations to enhance outreach and inclusion. Leading our obligations register in conjunction with internal managers, you will collaborate to execute initiatives building a network of external partnerships aligned with Kinetic IT’s DEI & participation goals.

- Attending partner and community events, at times also with interstate travel required across our strategic charity, STEM and community engagement partners
- Ensures compliance against reporting & activities including monthly/quarterly reporting, bi-annual Board reporting and external reporting
- Build and support Kinetic IT’s internal volunteer engagement in participation initiatives
- Support leaders in the planning and execution of local initiatives, including but not limited to accessing funding and approvals, initiative development, stakeholder engagement, first point of contact problem solving and post-event support
- Work with leaders and partners on new Industry Participation and Community Engagement initiatives
- Act as a point of contact in our business for crew interested in participation or DEI

- Have a drive to make social impact - embedding yourself into community awareness within Kinetic IT
- Express an interest in the core pillars of Engagement in STEM, Education, Diversity & Inclusion and Equity Outcomes
- Ability to tap into a broad range of information sources, networks, partnerships and alliances to continually improve and refine the Participation Program
- To plan and execute communication and content, excellent written skills (formal and informal) and a developed presentation style
- Work independently whilst part of our broader organisation, supported by the wider internal HR/Workforce department
- Ability to undertake some expected interstate travel between Kinetic IT offices and national events
- Not For Profit, Diversity & Inclusion and/or social community experience is _highly desirable, but not essential_
