We are looking for an experienced communications specialist for our client in the NFP sector.

**Your new role**
- Play a key delivery role for internal and external communications and engagement, and be involved in strategic planning.
- Provide communications expertise and advice to develop communications plans and projects in line with the organisation’s strategic direction.
- Lead the introduction of initiatives which improve the organisation’s employee value proposition and drive improvements in employee experience.
- Manage, implement and deliver the integrated communications content plan. This includes creating, uploading and distributing content for a range of channels including print, media and digital (website, intranet and social media).
- Manage media contacts to identify and pursue positive media opportunities for the organisation and maintain strong, positive relationships with state-wide journalists and other public influencers.
- Provide crisis communications and issue management support as required.
- Oversee the coordination and production of several key publications produced by the Communications team, including monthly client e-newsletters, CEO Weekly Bulletin, staff newsletter, and the Annual Report, as well as speech writing and media releases.
- Interview and photograph key stakeholders, clients and staff throughout the organisation for storytelling purposes across a range of mediums (print, podcast, media, video etc).
- Liaise with a range of suppliers including photographers, videographers, copywriters, print suppliers and event organisers.
- Seek out, gather and then communicate good news stories from across the organisation.
- Partner on change or business-critical initiatives to ensure a communications plan is designed and effectively deployed.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations and/or equivalent work experience in a similar role.
- Previous specialist experience in a role responsible for delivering a broad range of communications services, including internal and external communications.
- The ability to develop and deliver effective communications and engagement strategies, initiatives and programs within a dynamic environment.
- The ability to work effectively as an integral member of a team and work in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders with demonstrated influence to inspire and drive change.
- Outstanding project management, communication and organisational skills.
- A thirst for knowledge, curiosity, attention to detail and a desire to take risks and try different things.
- Creative ability to develop engaging content.
- Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driving Licence.
- Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months.
