Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rail Training Coordinator to join their team. The Rail Training Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs for rail employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the Training and Competency Management Plan.
- Scope and coordinate the approved training budgets.
- Manage the review of training course materials and assessments and manage ongoing maintenance of this courseware.
- Ensure consistency and high quality in the training delivery standards.
- Manage relationships with training providers and Registered Training Organisations (RTO) engaged by our client.
- Conduct internal audits against the Standards for RTO’s and act as the key contact for external Vocational Education and Training (VET) audits.
- Manage supplier contracts.
- Liaise with RTOs, government departments, peak bodies, and agencies in sourcing funding, grants, special programs, skill sets and qualifications.
- Manage the planning and delivery of efficient training, competence assurance and administrative functions.
- Creating, maintaining, and monitoring record systems

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years' experience in rail training or related field
- Strong knowledge of rail safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to deliver effective training programs
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training software
- Proficient at navigating the Rail Industry Worker (RIW) system, Rail Safety Worker (RSW) system and HRIS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Organised and able to meet deadlines

**Experience**:

- High level of skill with regards to understanding the complexities of the rail industry worker system and framework.
- Extensive knowledge of rail safety and WHS standards.
- High level of influencing, interpersonal, consultation, relationship building and negotiation skills that build and sustain productive relationships and partnerships
- Substantial knowledge and understanding of heavy industry risk management standards, procedures and practices

**Qualifications & Training**
- Cert IV in Training and Assessor
- Cert IV in Management / Leadership
- Safety Tertiary qualifications
- Drivers Licence
