**About the Role**
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver strategic communications and stakeholder engagement advice and support across our university. Working closely with the Associate Director of Strategic Communications (Global, Culture, and Engagement), you will plan, coordinate, develop, and deliver a wide range of impactful communications activities to support key priorities and programs to build the university's global profile. Manage strategic institution-wide communications projects, ensuring effective risk and reputation management. Use your passion to drive awareness, influence, and advocacy both internally and externally.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Strategically planning and developing proactive media, communications, staff engagement, and stakeholder solutions.
- Crafting proactive media content and reactive media responses to align with the institution's goals and the Global, Culture, and Engagement portfolio.
- Supporting the launch of two critical programs: the **Advancing Melbourne Globally strategy**, and the **Global Centre opening**, with potential for international travel.

**Who We Are Looking For**
We’re looking for a communications leader with expertise in delivering strategic activities within a large and complex organisation. You will thrive in a collaborative and agile environment, where your creative thinking challenges conventions, ensuring effective business outcomes. Your track record in delivering exceptional client service to diverse stakeholders at all levels sets you apart for this role.

You will also have:

- Extensive experience in relevant communications field and a tertiary qualification in communications, political science, marketing, finance, business, or related discipline.
- A proven agile and nimble approach to work and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Dedicated to surpassing operational excellence and quality assurance objectives, aligned with the University's risk management framework.
- Ability to work to a high ethical standard ensuring professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
