**About the role**

Reporting to the Senior Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to optimize processes, enhance safety, and drive sustainable growth within our business.

This position sits within our MRT arm of the business
- we transport over 30 million tonnes per annum within our Iron Ore and Lithium operations and are proud to be moving towards a world first in autonomous road trains.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets to extract valuable insights for improving haulage processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and formulate data-driven solutions.
- Develop, implement, and optimize machine learning models to predict and optimize key performance indicator.
- Work closely with Continuous Improvement Manager to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction based on data analysis.
- Follow and understand the standards and guidance of Director of Innovation and Technology.
- Support Mineral Resources Limited’s advancement in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for the purposes of Data Analysis and Collection.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics, AI and ML.
- Develop analytical solutions which are relevant and scalable to the greater business.

**What you’ll bring to the team**
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
- Familiarity with mining-related sensors, IoT devices, and real-time data streams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship
- Knowledge of data platforms within Amazon AWS and Azure.
- 1-2 years’ experience in Analytical Data or Transport Operations.
- A passion for data, problem solving and willingness to learn.
