About the role

Take a lead in the business on the important issues of modern slavery and community giving.

Ensure Perpetual is in compliance with Modern Slavery legislation.

Drive Perpetual’s community impact strategy and community giving data collection and reporting for the business.

In the role you will:
- Report to the Head of Sustainability, and work alongside the Sustainability and Environment Manager- Prepare the annual Modern Slavery Statement, and manage Modern Slavery Risk Assessment process- Undertake due diligence, controversies screening, and analysis on high-risk investments and suppliers- Conduct targeted engagement with high-risk suppliers and investments on modern slavery- Lead capacity building and training sessions on modern slavery for key teams- Support Managed Funds Services team with preparation of Modern Slavery Statements for Trusts- Lead development of a Community Impact Strategy, including community giving and volunteering- Manage the data collection and reporting for Perpetual’s community giving reporting- Form and coordinate a Community Impact Working Group to oversee community impact programs, partnerships, and volunteering

About you- An experienced sustainability, ESG, human rights or risk/compliance professional- Experience in modern slavery, including experience in submitting a modern slavery statement- Experience in managing projects and ensuring compliance with regulation- Experience of community impact, community giving, and volunteering programs- Experience in engaging and advising internal and external stakeholders- Ability to research, analyse, and interpret data to create reports
