The role

As part of our Maritime group, the Ship Weapons System Technical Officer will work as part of the Hunter Class Combat Systems IPT at Osborne and assist in the conduct of the overall Combat Systems System design activities to ensure compliance of the Combat Systems Physical Integration Design process with the Warship EMP, traceability to the requirement and overall consistency within the Warship.
- Work with the Combat System Engineering Managers and Technical Leaders, and Physical Integration Engineers to evolve the physical integration design of Hunter CS equipment.
- Evaluation of the maturity of product data provided by suppliers into the integrated data management system.
- Participate in Technical reviews of the Combat Systems Physical Integration Design products and deliverables
- Monitoring the design process and advising Physical Integration Engineers of shortfalls against the Warship EMP and SWSE process plans
- Ratify and assure the availability of the Combat Systems Physical installation data and constraints for the Platform IPT
- Assist Engineers with the physical integration design of the Combat Systems and its compartments and support Topside Layout
- Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role._

About you
- Your skills and experience will include:_
- 3 to 5 years industry experience in a similar engineering environment, supporting medium subsystems or group of smaller subsystems and/or equipment
- Experience developing system cable schematic drawings, cable schedules, compartment layouts and sketches and zonal review checklists and plans
- Certificate III in Electronics and Communications Engineering (or related discipline)

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
