**Reports to**: Design and Engineering Manager

**Responsibilities**:

- To provide technical advice, at a practical level, to support the Design Engineers in Operation and Maintenance of Maritime Platform Systems.

Requirements development, through the Project life cycle including:

- Ensuring that systems engineering activities follow the appropriate methodologies defined in Project Systems Engineering Management Plans
- Requirements capture, review, analysis, tracing, and validation
- Production support
- Test Planning and acceptance testing protocols for electrical systems.
- Provision of technical knowledge, advice, and insight to Design Engineers for functional and detailed design related to Power Generation, Distribution systems, and control systems
- Provision of support to Design Engineers with:

- Field work, including ship inspections, engineering investigations and analysis
- Electrical integration on Navy platforms
- Production of technical reports and associated documentation
- Authoring and review of maintenance documentation, and technical publication
- Support the Systems Engineering, ILS and Safety Practice Lead in developing the associated artefacts.
- Stakeholder management

**HSEQ Responsibilities**:

- Uphold Company HSEQ Standards at all times for all activities
- Ensure all HSEQ Management system documentation is implemented and complied with
- Participate in the HSEQ Committee
- Communicate and consult with team members on any HSEQ issues or concerns
- Report all hazards and incidents in a timely manner and participate in incident investigations as required
- Participate in any relevant HSEQ Training, Drills or Exercises
- Participate in any relevant audits or inspections
- Be responsible for their own health and safety and that of their team

**Minimum Educational/Experience Qualifications**:

- TAFE qualification or equivalent related to Ship Design (preferred).
- Significant experience in Naval systems engineering in a shipyard environment, including detailed design, installation and set to work of Platform systems.
- Practical experience in all phases of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle, processes and principles.
- Practical experience, and understanding in requirements development, through the Project life cycle

**Other Skills**:

- Must be AU citizen
- Eligible to secure an NV1 Security Clearance

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
