- **Standard Hours or work - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm - 7 & ½ hour days 5 days a week.**

**About the Team**
The Market Stewardship and Home & Living Group leads the effective management of the Partners in the Community and Stewardship of the provider market, including setting the strategic direction for Home & Living services for the scheme.
**About the Role**
The APS5 Project Officer is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex work. Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents guide the position.
The position is required to undertake activities and tasks using available information where options are not always evident. It will be required to perform procedural, clerical, administrative and operational tasks that supports and contributes to Agency’s objectives to “build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme”.
The APS5 Project Officer is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility. The position will be required to provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation.
The position will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.
**Key skills required for role/s**:

- Developing and managing project plans in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Coordinating project reporting including assessment of risks and issues, progress updates, and tracking against project benefits.
- Undertaking a range of stakeholder engagement activities.
- Performing independent research and analysis work.
- Preparing written material including business cases, plans and briefs.

**Desirable skills to haves for the role/s**:

- Works under limited supervision to progress a series of activities within recognised guidelines.
- The role may have significant impact regarding work area objectives and activities and may impact on other work areas in the short to medium term.
- Work predominately involves a wider variety of still similar, well-defined tasks which may require researching and organising information and choosing from a limited range of solutions.

**Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to**:

- Assisting in project management and coordination activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.
- Contributing to the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Providing advice, procedural guidance and technical expertise in specific areas of project work.
- Performing research work and analysis including contributing to the preparation of reports on relevant project activities.
- Contributing to regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Drafting a range of written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation for review.
- Assisting with monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Assisting with the identification and management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Assisting with project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.
- Collaborating with team members to achieve program, project and business outcomes.
