**INJURY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST - MELBOURNE, VICTORIA**

**You'll be responsible for**:

- Providing strategic advice and supporting the teams case managers in their Recovery and RTW objectives
- Giving expert injury management advice ensuring responsiveness and quality in your decision making
- Developing and motivating staff within your team to be the best they can
- Leading initiatives that are aimed at improving team performance, APA results and culture
- Providing leadership support and accountability to your Team Manager
- Ensure internal and external customer relationships are maintained at the highest levels.
- Using your initiative and creative thinking to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the teams
- Positively contribute to the team in developing a culture of engagement and motivation.
- In depth communication with the injured workers, occupational rehabilitation providers, and other key stakeholders
- Engaging with the workers treating health practitioners to support the workers treatment and recovery plan
- Leading case conferencing for a couple of aligned case managers - supporting them in claim strategy setting and in developing their skills in case conferencing for outcomes

**About you**
- Extensive case management and injury management experience within a personal injury scheme environment. Victorian Workers Compensation Scheme experience will be highly regarded as will experience within an Allied Health setting.
- The skills to motivate and to drive high performance
- An ability to build rapport with varying stakeholders including allied health professionals, workers, employers and our internal team members
- An aptitude for coaching and developing others
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, changing environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience in interpreting legislation, policy and data.
