**THE PROJECT**

The Djilang Alliance, comprising DT Infrastructure (Downer IP), McConnell Dowell, Arup and WSP Australia, has been selected as the preferred contractor for the South Geelong to Waurn Ponds Duplication.

The South Geelong to Waurn Ponds Duplication is part of the Australian and Victorian governments’ more than $1 billion investment in the staged upgrade of the Geelong Line and a critical step in delivering more frequent and reliable services.

**With a completion date targeted for 2024, the project will include**:

- Duplicating around eight kilometres of track between South Geelong and Waurn Ponds
- Rebuilding South Geelong and Marshall stations featuring new station buildings and forecourts, second platforms and accessible pedestrian overpasses
- Removal of the level crossings at Fyans Street and Surf Coast Highway and replaced with elevated rail bridges
- Signalling upgrades between South Geelong and Waurn Ponds
- More than five kilometres of new shared user paths linking to existing trails and paths and creating a continuous connection between South Geelong and Waurn Ponds.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

The newly formed Djilang Alliance are seeking an **Operational Readiness and Handover Lead** to be engaged by Downer on a full-time permanent basis.

This role will see you leading activities required to support the handover and commencement of rail services, stations and infrastructure in line project objectives, including safety, cost, quality, time and environmental management

**Responsibilities include**:

- Identify, capture and manage activities and deliverables required to achieve Operational Readiness and Acceptance by Client and Rail Transport Operator (RTO)
- Documentation to support Operations and Maintenance
- Report progress against program
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify and secure resources and access required to meet program objectives.
- Progressively capture documentation, data, evidence and artefacts required to support successful handover and acceptance of project assets to the designated asset owner.
- Understand and demonstrate a personal visible commitment to the Djilang Alliance Safety Management System and DT Infrastructure safety policy

**ABOUT YOU**
- Tertiary qualification in an Engineering discipline or recognised equivalent relevant industry experience and be a Member of Institution Engineers, Australia
- Related experience in a similar role preferably within a multi-site construction, transport, or engineering industries
- Working knowledge of Civil and Rail Infrastructure standards and regulations
- Proven experience working to tight time frames in a changing environment and ability to work under pressure and manage stakeholder expectations
- Able to build solid understanding of the business priorities to deliver a high standard of effective and integrated solutions
