**Job location**

Thomas Embling Hospital,located in Fairfield just 15 minutes north of the Melbourne city centre.Due to our announced expansion, we have a need for experienced like-minded professionals to join our team. Thomas Embling Hospital is a secure Mental Health, currently 134 bed, hospital providing acute care, rehabilitation, and continuing care programs. With planned expansion commencing 2024 with significant increase in access to care, we will have a dedicated Women's service and an additional medium secure men's facility. **About the Role**:

- As part of the 2021/22 state budget the Victorian Government is investing $515.7 million to deliver an additional 82 beds at the Thomas Embling Hospital
- Forensicare is seeking an experienced project professional to lead the operational commissioning of its new facilities, which will open progressively from mid-2024.
- A key dynamic of the role is the ability to develop and foster collaborative relationships and exert influence across a number of functional areas within Forensicare (including both clinical and non-clinical staff), with consumers, carers & other key stakeholders.
- The role will work closely with the redevelopment project management office, the managing contractor, the Victorian Health Building Authority, and other Forensicare staff.

**Duties**:

- Execute an all-encompassing operational commissioning plan to ensure the expanded Thomas Embling Hospital is ready for operation - encompassing both the physical and operational environment..
- Manage an established governance structure to oversee development, approval and implementation of the readiness framework.
- Lead Forensicare's engagement with the Victorian Health Building Authority and the managing contractor on all commissioning and handover planning matters
- Provide authoritative advice to the Executive Director and other team-members and stakeholders on matters relating to operational commissioning.

- Experience in commissioning large and complex capital developments in a dynamic and multi-skilled team environment
- Extremely strong stakeholder engagement and management skills and the ability to build strong and productive relationships with a range of diverse groups.
- Understanding of capital developments within a healthcare context
- Strong project management skills and experience.
