As the Head of Transformation and Product Management, you'll play a pivotal role in our exciting cloud migration, tech modernisation, and frictionless engineering initiatives, all aimed at delivering cutting-edge technology products and services. Accountabilities for the role traverses (2) key priorities of the role: Transformation Program Management and Product Management Practice Development.
- Our transformation covers both IT operating model change and systems modernisation and this role requires you to bring these together and to life in a single plan we can track, manage, and communicate effectively to our stakeholders.
You will need to:
- Create a comprehensive transformation plan and effectively communicate it to our stakeholders.
- Clarify on who has delivery accountability on parts of the plan in collaboration with IT SLT and business stakeholders and manage resulting dependencies.
- Support the sequencing of systems modernisation to ensure fastest path with least operational disruption and risk.
- Estimate the overall timeline for the transformation process and report progress.
- Identify and address potential risks, challenges, and roadblocks during the transformation process.
- Define key metrics to measure the success and effectiveness of IT transformation initiatives. Regularly review and analyse metrics to make data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- For the Product Management practice, you will:
- Develop a clear vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Product Management Centre of Excellence (CoE).
- Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and other functions to define and document best practices, methodologies, and frameworks for product management processes.
- Support efforts to attract, onboard, and develop high-performing product managers and nurture a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Define and implement metrics to assess the effectiveness of product management efforts, identify areas for improvement, and monitor the success of digital Product Management and Managers.
**About you**
**You will**:
- Possess formal qualification(s) in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Satisfy ASIC’s definition of “Fit and Proper Person” compliance obligations.
- Have experience in technology management and senior leadership roles, with a focus on overseeing technology delivery functions, utilising agile and product management principles, methodologies, and best practices (7+ years’ is a general indicator).
- Have led or supported successful technology transformation and modernisation initiatives, proving your ability to take on complex software engineering projects and deliver exceptional results.
