**Description**:
We currently have an exciting 12-month fixed term opportunity for a Payroll Manager to join the Finance Team reporting to the Manager, Financial Accounting and Reporting. This position is responsible for leading the payroll department ensuring the highest standard of payroll and associated transactions are completely fortnightly with accuracy and on time. As you will be joining Housing Choices during an exciting time, your role is instrumental in driving some key payroll system enhancements.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**About You**:

- Minimum 5 years of previous proven experience within a payroll leadership position managing teams
- Prior experience with Chris 21 is essential
- Proven experience in leading, managing and coordinating the payroll function
- Review and sign off the fortnightly pay run including analysing fortnightly and payroll reports and reconcile discrepancies.
- Provide back up for process fortnightly payroll, manage payroll obligations for PAYG, Superannuation, Workcover, FBT, Tax, Award
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and ensure all relevant awards and Enterprise Agreements (EA's) are adhered to.
- Ensure related policies, procedures and other documents are regularly reviewed and updated (where necessary) to align with legislation changes
- Accurate and timely delivery of the payment of salaries/wages, superannuation, allowances, expenses and all other payments associated with payroll
- Investigate and resolve any errors or potential errors in relation to all payroll related issues including wages, superannuation, leave and terminations
- Lodge monthly payroll tax and other tax compliance such as FBT
- Assist with the annual audit
- Manage internal and external payroll reporting such as costing reports, general ledger reconciliations, overtime, LSL, Superannuation, payroll actual vs forecast analysis and monthly reconciliation of payroll related accounts
- Project manage payroll system migrations / integrations
- Strong Excel skills
- Proven process improvement initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Contribute to the maintenance of continuous payroll improvement system standards
