Purchasing Team Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Purchasing Officer to lead our high-performing purchasing team at Eastern Health.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the purchasing process from requisition to purchase orders, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, providing exceptional customer service and meeting their needs in a professional and helpful manner.
- Utilize Oracle (or similar software package) to manage purchasing activities, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of orders and invoices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to inform purchasing decisions.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Proven experience in leading purchasing teams, with a strong track record of delivering results and improving processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Experience with Oracle (or similar software package) and other purchasing software systems.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office and Windows-based systems.
